A space for photography and expression
World Between Worlds
Caterpillars can set a mind to thinking. Imagine knowing such a profound metamorphosis would soon set upon you? How would that change your life and your perspective?
All Blur
Displeased to report photography has been something of a chore these past few months. Here’s hoping there’s a chance to rediscover some of the magical respite I have benefited from these past 10 years.
Peony Leisure
Among spring flowers the peony rains supreme. The ground level royal companion who so elegantly follows the twin beauty of the cherry blossom. Two flowers worthy of Japan warrant a haiku.
Heaven Scent
Come for the dreamy lilac photograph that looks so good you can almost smell it, and stay for the haiku—it’s short by definition.
The April Fool
Moody 35mm photo of a yellow daffodil blossom evokes dreams of poetry, even if it a bit unwieldily. Here the photographer muses over the fools in life he assume they know it all.
The Sea Moves
Let’s explore a photography technique that intentionally introduces motion blur into the finished image. Combine steady hands, confident, steady motion and a lazy shutter to produce stunning minimalist photographs. The effect of motion brings a painterly touch to heighten the drama.
All I See
A wide sweeping horizon, flat and unbroken is a challenge. It is a call to action to look upon all its possibility to make a choice. What will you make of this blank canvas? How will you harness its limitless options to make one your own? What is that you see? Out there and inside…
Sky Floor
Altocumulus clouds glory in reticulated patterns. Like a well kept parquet floor who’s played host to countless balls and dance. The glimmering lights waltz upon the sky shimmering and bending, passing off as the scale of the fish.
The Grind
Tectonic forces do their work. Ploughing their inescapable hell slowly and without discrimination. They grind—hard. Such is their subtlety as to be motionless to the eye though with a power as immovable as gravity.
