I Was Once
Jonathan Carr and I checked out Parkertown Docks for the first time ever. We hung around through blue hour for the full moon rise. It so happened to be the second full moon of October, making this a blue hour blue moon rise.
Distortion

Located in Wharton State Forest in Hammonton, New Jersey, Batsto Village makes for a great outdoor destination. This historic old iron works town dating back to the 18th century is a portal to the past. It’s an idyllic destination for photographers of all stripes.
I Knew You When
Leave it to a sunset to bring pause to a racing mind. A pause long enough to strike the muse and leave the photographer trying about lines of poetry. The result may not be great, but the effort is always worthwhile.
Autumn We Dance Again
Whether by fall or by autumn, people love this time of year. I counted myself among their number as a child, but as an adult it has not been so. This has proved a season of struggle. I seek to recapture the magic I once knew. I yearn to dance again with Autumn.
Dahlia Dreams
Serving up a soft focus dahlia on a Friday afternoon. Smooth and inviting this flower grows to soothe. When viewed through a macro lens we come close to the tiny tubular petals emblematic of the dahlia. These petals are numerous as they are fascinating. There must be 50 our more making up each full flower.
Lilium Inter Spinas
Paradox is life. Life is paradox. Loaded with diametrically opposed dualities at every turn. These are fascinating to think upon. Solid coincidence or a purposeful pairing? Regardless it is in the push and pull of these forces we find our space to grow, even when it becomes as uncomfortable as a lily among the thorns.
To Sparkle in Your Eyes
Sometimes what we need is a little push out the door. A small dose of unexpected encouragement to get us off the couch, literally. Jon Carr provided said encouragement when he reached out to let me know 4 September’s sunset meant business. Thanks to my friend I got out and got this shot.
